kafun.modelab.top is a mini tool that exclusively shows today’s pollen count.
Usually, to check pollen info, you’d go to the Japan Meteorological Agency website or a weather app. But that’s kind of a hassle, especially when you just want a quick glance to see if the pollen is bad today—it takes a bit of digging to find it.
A few thoughts behind making this tool:
➀ You see the results the second you open it—no extra clicks required.
➁ I stripped out the weather info to keep the product’s core function pure.
➂ It currently covers 60 cities (I originally only planned for 11). The selection was based on population size, economic activity, and the severity of the pollen issue. If your city isn’t on the list, please let me know.
➃ I used little animal avatars, along with varying densities and colors, to represent pollen levels. Hopefully, this makes checking the pollen count a little less anxiety-inducing.
This is my personal, non-profit VibeCoding research project and will not be commercialized. I built it purely to scratch my own itch, figuring there has to be someone else out there who needs exactly this.
