This is a small tool that displays the daily pollen count. Normally, users would look for this information on official platforms such as the Japan Meteorological Agency or Yahoo Weather. I’ve used these platforms for a week and found them rather inconvenient. Especially when I only want to check the pollen situation for this week, it requires a long browsing path.
So, I created this small tool using Vibe Coding👆kafun.modelab.top, along with my considerations:
1.As soon as you open it, you can know the pollen situation for the day without having to think about where to click.
2.I removed things that users actually don’t need to know. For example, the weather. Come to think of it, when pollen is severe, it definitely doesn’t rain, and when it rains, there isn’t much pollen either. Other weather information isn’t of much use to users.
3.A total of 60 cities are available for selection (originally, there were only 11 planned). The judgment logic is “population base + economic center level (influence) + pollen disaster intensity (user pain points)”. However, if the city you’re in has a serious pollen problem but isn’t on the list, you’re welcome to submit feedback to me.
4.I introduced emotional elements. The negative impact of pollen on people’s moods is expressed through cute little animals (the pictures will be updated regularly). The animals are associated with colors, and the colors are associated with the pollen level. At the same time, random quotes are added at the bottom to further reduce users’ pollen – related anxiety.
