cal.modelab.top is a lightweight personal tool that brings calendars, to-dos, check-ins, and reminders together in one place.
The current version focuses on Chinese and Japanese calendar information. You can view Chinese public holidays, the lunar calendar and solar terms alongside Japanese public holidays, Rokuyo, and other local calendar information, with display options that can be turned on or off as needed. Beyond checking dates, you can also create to-dos directly on the calendar, set recurring tasks, manage completion states, and add reminders.
cal does not require you to create an account before using it. Calendar, to-do, check-in, daily quote, and horoscope features are available without signing in. If you want to sync your data across devices, you can sign in later. The web app, PWA, and the CalMode — Calendar & To-Dos browser extension can then share the same cloud-synced task data.
For this first stage, the focus is on making the Chinese and Japanese calendar experience solid and useful. Future versions are planned to add more languages, more regional holiday data, and broader localization so that cal can gradually become a calendar tool for users around the world.
As with my other Modelab projects, this is a personal, non-commercial VibeCoding project. It started from a simple idea: I wanted a calendar I would actually open every day, where I could check dates and manage everyday tasks without switching between several different tools.
